Compare the work.
Then compare the numbers.
Put up to three written quotes side by side. Separate the repair price from payments you have already made, and spot costs or scope details that still need an answer.
Your entries stay on this page. This tool does not send or save them. Company labels are optional; personal and contact information is not needed.
Start with the written breakdown
- Use US dollars and enter each charge once. If a quote combines labor and materials, put the combined amount in one field and enter 0 in the other; explain that in “Work included.”
- Enter 0 when the provider confirms no charge. Leave an amount blank when it is unknown. Missing amounts keep the comparison incomplete.
- Enter diagnostic charges separately from labor. A credited diagnostic fee reduces the combined price once; marking it already paid reduces the remaining balance once.
- Use “Other discounts / credits” for price reductions only. Use “Deposit already paid” for payments, excluding a diagnostic payment already checked above it. Do not enter the same amount in both.
Use amounts before discounts or diagnostic credits. If the written quote already includes a reduction, ask for the original breakdown before applying that reduction again here.

Your quote comparison
These figures use only the amounts you entered. “Known amounts only” is a partial calculation that can rise or fall when missing charges or credits are confirmed.
Resolve these points before choosing
- Are the same work, quantities, materials and cleanup included in each quote?
- Who pays for permits, disposal, return visits and work uncovered after diagnosis?
- What are the payment schedule, written change-approval process and warranty terms?
- Are the diagnostic credit and any discounts conditional on accepting the repair?
This worksheet does not verify providers, judge workmanship or recommend the lowest price. The written agreement controls; a matching total alone does not mean the scopes match.
